Lilly to Introduce Lower-Priced Insulin
Eli Lilly and Company has now announced as of March 4, 2019 that the company will now be coming out with an authorized generic version of Humalog, available in pharmacies at a 50% lower list price. Insulin Lispro -named after the same molecule as Humalog - will be available in vial form and pen option. List price for a single vial is $137.35 while a box of 5 KwikPens comes in at $265.20. Adult Night – Axe Monkey.
Friday. February 22, 2019 was our second adult night of the year through the NDA and we had it at the ever popular Axe Monkey ! With HUGE support from Tandem Diabetes we were able to host this event for 18+ Type One Diabetics in the area as well as bring in a celebrity.. Sierra Sandison. AKA Miss Idaho 2014 who wore her pump during the Miss America Competition. The night was a ranging success with food provided and plenty of laughs shared among everyone in attendance. Winter Wonderland 2019
Winter Wonderland 2019 was a complete SUCCESS! The NDA could not have done this without all of you who joined us and all the AMAZING vendors who participated in the evening. Because of the success of the evening Winter Wonderland provided it will allow us to help fund our support groups, camps, emergency medical and newly diagnosed outreach kits here in the community that so many rely on so we can provide the tools and support to keep our kids with diabetes healthy and families safe. The Nevada Diabetes Association has an emergency medical and prescription program that allows a one month supply of diabetes testing supplies and medication to those in crisis situations. You will need to provide: A current and valid prescription Provider Information Personal Medical Information Medical Insurance Information (if applicable) Reason for assistance *Please note, this is a ONE TIME solution and not an ongoing assistance program.* For assistance, please call 775-856-3839
