What is Camp Buck at Home?

Camp Buck at home is a virtual way to bring all the joys and love of Camp Buck right to your door ! Camp is an essential part of every child with diabetes. Our goal is to keep kids connected to camp, maintain social interaction and enrichment that is vital to their development, and most importantly… have fun!  You camper may just want to see their camp friends and we have the way where they can every day.

Why Can’t We Just Have Regular Camp?

Many of our volunteer staff are currently on the front lines of battling Covid-19. Also as we continue to follow state regulations and guidelines as well as consulting our medical directors during Covid-19 it is decided that in person camp would not be the safest option this year and our campers safety is the #1 priority.

But What If..

Listen, we hear you. Camp COULD happen.. but it would not be the camp experience your veteran camper or new coming camper would enjoy. Camp Buck host 200+ people each time, this means that with social distancing NO ONE in the camp would get to see, hang out, or interact with anyone outside their cabin. Meal times would become longer as they would need to be separate. We would spend more days cleaning than playing. Thats not a camp experience anyone would want and we wouldnt want to leave a bad taste in anyones first camp experience.

Camp Buck at Home Box

Upon completion of registration, prior to camp starting your camper will receive a full on Camp Experience Box complete with swag items and all the essential tools to complete a week of camp activities.

How Will Activities Happen :
