The Mission of the Nevada Diabetes Association and California Diabetes Association is to improve the lives of children and adults affected by diabetes through prevention, education and service. The goal of the NDA and CDA is to provide programming that will help avoid complications that this disease causes for children and adults. We offer diabetes education camping programs, diabetes support programs, diabetes seminars/ workshops, printed and electronic diabetes educational resources, emergency insulin and diabetes supply programming.

Our greatest joy is providing camps each year for children with diabetes. Our greatest success is seeing these children develop the skills to take charge of their diabetes.

Emergency Prescription Program

The Nevada Diabetes Association offers an emergency prescription program which allows a one month refill on your current, in date prescription for insulin, oral medication, glucose test strips, ketone test strips, etc.  This program is designed to help in emergency situations, when you have reached your gap with your insurance company, or you are in the process of signing up for insurance or state aid.  You may use our emergency prescription program once per year.  To see if you qualify or for more information, please contact the Nevada Diabetes Association by calling 775-856-3839.
