Please join DCAF Family Connections for a special presentation by John Shiffler. John, a lifetime Las Vegas resident, will be celebrating his 50th year living with type one diabetes.
John will be sharing his story about living with type one diabetes, and all of the changes and improvements that have been made throughout the years that he has witnessed. As a teen, he was one of the youngest individuals to be placed on intensive insulin therapy, and as an adult was instrumental in getting insurance coverage approved for CGM’s.
John is currently authoring a book about his 50 years living with type one diabetes.
